Sharing cosplayer tips: MY DIFFERENT WAYS OF MANAGING MY STUFF DURING A CON!! 8D
1.) I make use of the parts/props of my costume! 8D With my Sango cos, I wedged my wallet between my belly and armor… then put my phone inside a sleeve! XD If you’re wearing a skirt/dress (or smthn like that) you can wear shorts or 3/4 pants with pockets underneath then just reach under for your stuff later on LOL. But be careful where you put your stuff tho—when I borrowed Naru’s Inuyasha cos way back I hid my mini purse in the fluffy thing of Inuyasha’s sword and it got seen in the pictures. ;; Best solution for this is having pockets sewn/made on your costume/armor! 8D
2.) I bring a bag that’s suited for the character~ like how I used a Japanese schoolbag for Riko, or a sports bag for Kagami.
3.) I only bring my valuable items, like cellphone, wallet/money, little make-up for retouching; if I have more space then YAAAAY EXTRA MAKE-UP AND STUFF. Leave your other stuff in…
4.) …the baggage counter. THANKFULLY CONS NOWADAYS HAVE THEIR OWN INSIDE THE CONVENTION! 8D If not tho, drop them by the department/grocery store. If you have a car then THAT’S GREAT! INSTANT STORAGE~ 8D BUT DON’T LEAVE VALUABLE STUFF THERE THO. D8
5.) FRIENDS~! Aside from being awesome con companions they help me with my stuff sometimes SO YAY THANK YOU TO THOSE PPL WHO HAVE HELPED ME CARRY MY STUFF ; u ; BUT I DO NOT LIKE MAKING YOU GUYS MY P.A./PERSONAL ALALAY SO YUH I FIND OTHER WAYS/PLACES TO BRING/STORE MY STUFF SOMEWHERE.
Before I didn’t rly give a fuq about my bag/stash looking different from my cos but now I care b/c SOB I CAN’T AFFOR TO LOSE MY STUFF (I usually throw my bag aside when having my picture taken) AND IT LOOKS OBVIOUS ON PHOTOS THAT I’m HIDING MY BAG BEHIND MY LEGS HAHAHA WELL I GUESS THAT’S IT I’M ALSO ANNOYED WITH SOME COSERS MAKING OTHER PPL (esp. their parents) THEIR P.A. GEEZ LEARN TO CARRY OR KEEP YOUR OWN STUFF LOL anyway THERE YOU HAVE MY DIFFERENT WAYS OF MANAGING MY STUFF DURING A CON!!! I hope this is useful~ ( o v o )b
